H.V.Beck Esq., 6, Manland Way, Harpenden, Herts. 23rd March 1966. 1966 January PROFESSIONAL CHARGES advising you on what length of notice you were entitled to receive from Marconi Instruments Limited terminating your employment with them. Perusing a letter which you were to send to Dr. Arms of Marconi Instruments Limited claiming compensation. ON your subsequently having received notice terminating your employment and your having agreed to accept the notice provided that you received an ex gratia payment of £1512.10.0d advising that the payment should not be ex gratia but should be for compensation for loss of office. Attendances on the telephone on you, on the secretary of Marconi Instruments Limited and on the solicitors of the Company on the 11th January 1966, discussing terms o the proposed Agreement. ON the 12th January 1966 having heard from you that the Agreement had to be signed that day attending you on your calling and discussing draft agreement. Dictating over the telephone the draft agreement to the Company's solicitors Later in the morning attending them on the telephone and discussing the amendments they wished to make to the Agreement. Reporting the situation to you early in the afternoon. Attending the Company's solicitors on the telephone twice during the course of the afternoon and at 4.20 p.m. obtaining their final approval to the terms of the Agreement. Reporting to you on the final amendments. Attending you at the offices of Marconi Instruments Limited at St.Albans at 5.10.p.m when you read the approved fair copy of the Agreement and it was then shown to Dr. Arms aid the Company's secretary Mr.Brian and with one amendment being made it was signed by both parties. . . . . . . £26 5 0
