3. Responsible for:-

  a)

Research and Advanced Development on devices, circuits, instruments, systems and standards in connection with M.I. business.
  b)

Technical image of Company (publication of papers etc.)
  c)

Market Research (Not product facts but trends in industry etc. to assist in formulation of product policy).

 

 d)

Concept evaluation of M.I. products.

4. Size of budget to be negotiated with Managing Director (1½% of turnover).

5. Research Department administratively separate from Engineering Department. Emphasise by allotting      Nos. 100-199 on staff list.

6. Member of Technical Committee, P.P.C. and M.D.C.

7. Personal contacts to be made (with) Government Establishments, Universities, SIRA, Industrial Research     Labs. etc.

8. Study or Development Contracts of an advanced nature to be undertaken usually on a cost plus basis.

1.Title:- Engineering Manager.

2. Responsible to Managing Director.

3. Responsible for:-

  a)

Engineering of Proprietary M.I. instruments (Stages I, II and III).
  b)

Technical Information on M.I. products fed to customers (including Marconi Instrumentation and E.B.)

4. Size of budget to be negotiated with Managing Director.

5. Member of Technical Committee, P.P.C., M.D.C. and Engineering Progress Meetings.

6. Development Contracts to be undertaken on P.P.C. authority.
